St. Michael's House
Leisureplex has nominated St. Michael's House as their chosen charity for 2008. This will involve a calendar of fundraising events and initiatives for the coming year in all Leisureplex outlets in Dublin to raise money towards Ireland's first fully accessible leisure centre and swimming pool for people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
St. Michael's House has over 160 units throughout Dublin city and county providing supports and services to over 1,450 children and adults with an intellectual disability and their families. The main fundraising takes place by Leisureplex requesting permission to add €2 to party bills. 100% of all funds raised go directly to St. Michael's House.
Leisureplex also operate dedicated collection days throughout the year. The corporate sector also play a part with a percentage of takings from St. Michael's House generated corporate bookings at Leisureplex going to the fund.
